Official IIBF Testing Guidelines

The Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) administers the CAIIB examination under strict parameters. Understanding these guidelines before starting your simulator is critical:

  • No Negative Marking:There is no penalty for incorrect answers. You should attempt every question in the simulation.
  • Calculator Allowance:Only non-programmable commercial calculators (8/12 digits) are permitted. Our simulator provides matching sidecar sandboxes (Working Capital and Basel III calculators) to mimic this.
  • Time Constraint:Candidates get exactly 120 minutes for 100 questions. Speed and accuracy under pressure are key.

Simulator FAQs

Can I pause the mock exam once started?

No. To ensure true exam condition simulation, the countdown timer runs continuously and cannot be paused. If the timer reaches 0, your test is automatically submitted.

Are questions the same every time I launch a mock?

No. The mock test pulls a randomized set of 10-50 questions from our backend database and dynamically shuffles option positions (A, B, C, D) so that each attempt presents a fresh challenge.

How does the calculator sandbox help?

Numerical questions in banking papers (like MPBF or DSCR) require formula application. The sidebar sandboxes allow you to crunch these numbers instantly without leaving the simulator window.
